Lynnea Naomi
Okami Yokai (Shinto Wolf God)
Lynnea, or Lynn for short, is an Okami Yokai who excels at lightning-based abilities and swift movements. She is a martial artist, specifically a master of Taekwondo. Lynn also knows Iaijutsu, the art of sword drawing.
The thought process for her design was finding something that would not hinder her sense of movement but also portray her divinity and culture through her outfit. I took inspiration from Chinese martial arts hanfu and Shaolin uniforms from Kung Fu martial arts.
Lynnea's color palette is representative of her nature and divinity. Pure white represents a sense of pacifism which is complimented by the accent gold. Her violet hair as the centerpiece of her design brings a regal aura to her personality. Lynnea's color palette is regal yet composed to represent her status as a celestial deity.
I have always loved and admired 2d animation in media. So for my capstone project I wanted to attempt to make an animatic of my own. This is my first ever attempt at animation and the process was really fun! I figured I would take a stab at learning this skill since I believe it would be useful down the line as an artist.
